Everything I love about quirkie indie movies was In place, great cast, great characters and what a look. All that was missing was the story. br>
There is a lot to like about this film and the first 20 minutes had my anticipation at 10. I have a love of films that do not explain themselves, they just are and just do what they do. The coffee shop characters, the husband that had to fire his wife, the robbery on the local store and subsequent revenge attack and demand. It was all looking really good and then it fizzled out to nothing. Don’t get me wrong, every scene in the hotel with its motley looking, weird dressed and odd named staff was a delight but to no avail. Enter Matt Berry and then don’t use him, why?
It’s a love story and I have stated that the story was missing, well I am sorry to say so was the love, well apart from the disco scene at the end, I loved that. Ho hum.

Well, most ratings (high or low) tend to add odd or bizarre in their descriptions so does having that quality make it a good use of your time. Depends on how much time you have. Kind of a Monty Python/SatNightLive/kitsch, but cheap and poorly acted script w/no value other than crude humor to some. Set in the ’50s to ’70s a small coffee shop owner needs some money and steals a small cash box from a relative who acts like a stereotyped dumb Hindi who does nothing more than harangue his thief. Meanwhile the thief’s wife is off trying to create some love elsewhere w/someone. Made good use of ff to finish it off.
